INDEPENDENCE DAY

72nd INDEPENDENCE day of INDIA was celebrated with patriotic fervor at  St. Britto’s Academy on 15.08.2018 at 8 am. The Chief Guest Dr. B. M. EZRA, DIG of Prisons, (RTD) hoisted the National Flag, and the students along with the staff took the pledge and sang the flag song.

The theme of the Independence Day celebration

“I Must Be the Change, I Wish To See in the World”

was brought about in Mime, songs, drama, speeches  and dances, which made the students to

  • Relate the struggles faced for independence and ultimate success to their day to day situations
  • Appreciate the progress India has made since independence
  • Acknowledge that each individual is responsible to build a better Nation.

The students delivered speeches about the glory of our country.

The Chief guest in his message urged the students to practice “ Compassion and Love” for the benefit of family, school and the country.  He also explained the important role of parents for the younger generation by sharing the experience faced by him while in service.

The entire program was executed well by the VI STD Students & Scouts and Guides of the school, who were also felicitated by the Chief Guest for their Rajyapuraskar Award in 2017.
