The Scouts and Guides of St.Britto’s Academy, Central Chennai District adjoin with SATHIYAM FOUNDATION undertook the plantation project to plant 5, 00,000 saplings allover TAMILNADU.
This project was inaugurated on 7th November, 2019 at Advent Primary School, Chinna Neelangarai, and Chennai.
The Scouts and Guides of St.Britto’s Academy cooperatively with Scout Master Mrs. G.Jayanthi Arulmani HWB (S) joined the event.
Mrs. R. Seethalakshmi, Chennai District Collector, Dr. A.D. Padmasingh Isaac Chairman Aachi Masala Group and Dr. P. Isaac Livingstone Managing Director of Sathiyam Foundation Inaugurated “Boomiyai Kakkum Thiruvizha”, and addressed the session with a thought provoking ideas upon the significance of embedding the plantlets. The students were orated to plant in addition to protect the environment.
The Scouts and Guides of St.Britto’s Academy engaged themselves energetically in the venture.
The squad was chiefly appreciated by the Chennai District Collector and other invitees for their assiduous efforts as well as the inquisitiveness concerning to volunteering service enviable to create a peaceful, aesthetically pleasing environment. The school was highly welcomed for extending extensive exposure to the young learners to stay connected with community and social values.
