“CHRISTMAS CANTICLES -2022”
“The gift of love, the gift of peace, the gift of happiness……May all these be yours at Christmas”
The students of St Britto’s Academy celebrated Christmas Canticles with great enthusiasm. The theme of the celebration is “Carry Your Candle. Students of Grades KG – IX and XI were involved to perform their part for two days on 19th and 20th December. On 19th, the students performed two slots for primary and high school students. Similarly, on the 20th we had two slots for primary and high school parents.
Mathangi and Christina stole the show through their compering.
Students rejoiced and proclaimed the birth of Jesus through carol singing.
The programme started with the Introduction of the day by the comperers and Adeline of Class VIII delivered the Welcome Address. The audience witnessed the nativity scene by the Kindergarten students followed by the daring dance of class KG – II. This year, the students sang different genres of songs like Qawwali, Carnatic, Western and so on and mesmerized the audience with their wonderful performance. Grade III- V presented a fabulous dance performance and expressed their feelings and emotions about the birth of Jesus Christ. Students took an active part in the skit “Magizhvom Magizhvom” which depicted love and care. The Students showcase their talent by singing, dancing and enacting. On this festive season let’s carry our candle and spread the light of love, joy, hope, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control to those around us.
Towards the end of the programme, Jeevesh of Class VIII proposed the vote of thanks. On behalf of the school, he thanked the management for having given this wonderful opportunity. He thanked all the parents for being the pillar of motivation and the teachers for their guidance and support. He also thanked the students for their cooperation and great effort to perform their best. The event was a great success.
