“Diwali’s vibrant glow creates a joyful canvas, with the brilliance of lights symbolizing the victory of good over evil. In this festive celebration, may the colors of Diwali fill our hearts with prosperity and harmony.”
Diwali, a widely celebrated festival in India, is also called ‘Deepavali,’ meaning ‘a string of lights.’ Rooted in ancient Hindu mythology, it marks Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. Believers view it as the triumph of good over evil, with Goddess Lakshmi bringing blessings of wealth and prosperity on Diwali night. The festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness.
St Britto’s Academy students marked the occasion with a vibrant event. The festivities began with a choir singing “Be a light, Be a star, be a candle in the dark,” followed by a prayer for hope.
To begin the event, Kaviprasath from Std VIII – B extended a warm welcome. Std VI and VII captivated the audience with an enchanting invocation dance.
Filled with delight, the sparkling kids from KG presented a captivating choreography titled “Twirls of Twilight.” Following that, Prajitha.A from Std IX – A and Kavinesh N.S. from Std IX-A enlightened us about the importance of celebrating Diwali.
The buddies of Std I and II entertained us with a sparkling Diya dance “Harmony in Flames”. ‘Exhilarating Diwali’ was one of the unique skit performed in English.
The dos and don’ts of celebrating Diwali were amazingly performed in the form of a special song “Sparkle and Strings – Villupattu” sung by the students of std VII.
Students rocked on the stage with a vibrant fusion dance “Synchronic Spark”.
In the joyous moment of celebration, our beloved principal addressed the gathering. She appreciated the students for the mind-blowing performance and wished them all a very happy and safe Diwali.
Finally, Ameya of std III-B proposed the vote of thanks. She thanked the entire fraternity for making the celebration a meaningful one.
