Welcome Back!
We are extremely delighted to begin our 21st year at St. Britto’s! It is a place where opportunities abound, a place alive with much energy, enthusiasm and high standards of excellence. We are grateful for the support of the Staff, Parents and the students of St. Britto’s Academy for making the Year 2017-18, a year of awards.
Our reputation as the top CBSE School in the country by Center for Educational Development, New Delhi is warranted due to our educational programming that aims at providing education prescribed by the NCERT in its real and meaningful framework.
The ISA award 2017-2020 was awarded by the British Council for bringing global education in Indian Perspective.
The Asia Book of Records and The Guinness World Record was awarded for extended education and it’s connect to real life by “Reaching out to the Society”
As we begin the journey into 2018-19, we promise you that this will be a year of engaging, meaningful work in the classroom along with a plethora of activities and clubs, Talent Hunt Categories and sports events to encourage our students to be involved. We will continue to build upon the proven foundations of St. Britto’s unique curriculum that aims at Holistic Development of the Child.
Progress, one child at a time- the effort to fulfill each child’s need for social, emotional and Intellectual growth is continuous and intended. Our teachers “know” their students and are trained to identify strengths, challenges and passions and are able to provide the right opportunities for the progress of the child in every area.
We follow the syllabus on the basis of curriculum prescribed by NCERT for classes I- VIII and have decided on the textbooks required for present Academic Year 2018-19, based on inputs given by the subject experts and the background of the new generation of learners. This was the major concern of many of the parents in the year 2017-18, which was expressed and addressed in all our Orientations and Interactions. We use assessments to enhance the academic growth of our students, to develop appropriate classroom teaching methodology/strategy and to provide individualized instruction to cater to all types of learners. Regular review and revision of the curriculum help us to ensure that we are delivering the best possible learning experience for our students. We integrate key concepts in Mind mapping/concept mapping with techniques of memory and learning.
This year we introduce a strong complement of Specials instruction in the areas of English Language by introducing IELTS from The British Council and The Leader In Me – TLIM from Live Life Foundation, that will enhance the regular education experience and Leadership qualities in our students. We have staff trained by professional instructors who are dedicated to these additional contents to provide a meaningful experience.
In addition to advanced Learning offered in High, Senior and Senior Secondary School by providing extensive in-class reference materials in the year 2017-18, Reading support, Special Education services, Remedial classes instilled right from our inception, will continue to afford students the opportunity to grow rapidly through strong support and enrichment.
We are really fortunate to have a very strong teaching staff. We are also fortunate to have supportive parents who play an important role in their child’s education.
We look forward to a very positive and productive year together. I invite you to peruse our website to know more about the many features of our school.
Together let’s make a difference in the lives of our children.
Greetings and Wishes! I extend my most gracious invitation to you to explore the ocean of knowledge through experiencing the joy of learning at St. Britto’s.
St. Britto’s provides a safe, gentle, invigorating and stimulating environment for the students to learn, develop and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. It assists students in meeting their fullest potential by encouraging critical thinking, supporting creativity, team building and adopting to technological advancements and improvisations in our robust quest for excellence.
“Education is for life and not merely for the examination”. Learning is a life-time progress and the school plays the most important phase in a child’s investigation of the life process. Learning is not restricted to the classroom environment consisting of smart class, text books and learning materials, but every person – whether a teacher or a friend, every space – be it in the Class room, auditorium or the playground, contributes to the experiences of the child. Students are filled with such vibrant energy that only needs to be led through proper channels.
We believe that every child is unique and hence our motive is to cater to the needs of a child as an individual in a learning environment. We entitle our students to acquire knowledge, attitudes and skills, whether distinct or in group. We believe that the ubiquitous influence of the school’s ways of imparting knowledge and spreading education will resonate not only on the student’s capabilities, but also on the advanced wellness of the society.
It was Margaret Mead who said “Children must be taught how to think, not what to think,” and to implement this line of thought, systematic activity-oriented learning opportunities are created for the students and they are granted the liberty to think in whatever way they want. Students are encouraged to be inquisitive, imaginative and innovative. This practical approach has been evolved as a result of years of strenuous research in academic and non-academic areas.
Aristotle said that, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” By adopting a child-centric approach, we celebrate the differences of every child’s skills and abilities and with a holistic development in mind, we encourage and ignite their minds to challenge their own capacities and limitations in all the traits of intelligence.
We hope to instil
A thirst for knowledge which goes on and grows on
*Ability to question and investigate for themselves rather than just believing what is presented to them.
To explore – rather than be told – how virtuous decisions are made.
We postulate that we teach the future Scientists, Engineers and Researchers who will not only improve our quality of life but also become responsible citizens of an ethically refined society.
Come join us! Let us grow together.
