The Management, staff, students and parents of St. Britto’s Academy shared the bliss of Christmas on the 21st of December 2016 as the School choir put up a stunning musical show in multi – linguistic musical symphony as a part of the ISA project. This enchanting celebration of ISA Inter-House Christmas Carol Contest witnessed over 300 students lighting up the atmosphere with festive music.
Jupiter House walked away as the winners while Venus House was adjudicated the first runners-up and Mars House , the second runners-up.Students, as young as three to the fifteen year olds, enthralled the audience with their melodious carol singing in ELEVEN INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES, viz, English, Portuguese, Latin, Sinhala, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, German and French and four regional languages, namely, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The Chief Guest of the Christmas Canticles, the Consular General of TAIWAN, Mr. CHARLES LEE, appreciated the 200 voice choir for their fantastic voices and extolled them saying that it was the first time he had heard such a marvelous carol singing in multiple languages. The Director of Public Affairs Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in Chennai, Mr. Steven Chung, also extended season’s greetings to the gathering. The Christmas Carol Contest titled “Christmas Canticles” deepened the global outlook and international dimension in the students’ lives. It also fostered teamwork, innovation and enhanced leadership skill among the students. The Carol contest endowed the students with richness of learning different languages and paved the way for Global Harmony.
