Students extended their help and proved their concern to Ms. Madhumitha, student of Std X B by contributing nearly Rs. 4,00,000/- to get appropriate Medical Treatment during the time of emergency. The entire amount was received in a very short span, through donations by the students and parents of St. Britto’s Academy.
This student led fund raiser was initiated by the Student Cabinet and collection boxes were kept at library and in the class rooms. The virtue of caring and sharing was in action during the month of February. On 11th March 2019, Mrs. Sujatha, mother of Madhumitha was invited to school and was presented the cash to enable the family to continue medical treatment. She was overwhelmed by the love and concern and thanked the Management, Staff and Students for the philanthropic act of kindness and requested earnest prayers for the speedy recovery of her daughter.
Correspondent Madam, Dr. Vimala Britto’s Note of Thanks was read to the audience during the assembly.
Dear Parents, Staff and Students,
On behalf of the Management , I Thank you for your generous contribution towards helping our dear student Madhumitha of class X, to get appropriate Medical Treatment during the time of emergency. Your generosity has definitely helped her family to receive the much needed financial support.
Three simple words define St. Britto’s Children- Care, Share and Support. I am overwhelmed by the honest effort and the commitment the children have shown to bring the values that are instilled in them, into reality by taking this great initiative to pool in the much needed monetary support. This proves that the way we build children – helping to heal, strengthening socially and emotionally, while breaking down the stigma associated with the treatment of the disease.
This has given a great assurance that Education at St. Britto’s is about making each and every student to feel and treat the other as one among them. The essence of Humanity and empathy goes on and grows on…to establish a caring community.
We simply couldn’t have done it without you! The caring Community…..
