Scouts and Guides of St.Britto’s Academy, Central Chennai District along with AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA and SEEK Foundation-NGO undertook the plantation project and celebrated the National Ayurveda Day on 25th October , 2019 at T-4 Terminal, Chennai International Airport.
38 Scouts and 11 Guides with Scout Master Mrs. G. Jayanthi Arulmani HWB(S) and Mrs. Mubarak partook in the event.
Prof. Dr. N. J. MUTHUKUMAR, Director National Institute of Siddha, Tambaram furnished thought provoking address on the significance of planting medicinal saplings.
Secretary and Correspondent of St. Britto’s Group of Institutions, Founder of Seek foundation, Dr. Vimala Britto, embellished the project as the honorable guest. Her motivational speech and exchange of ideas with the learners bequeathed new insights to the young minds.
The students were insisted to plant medicinal florae besides the plants that yield fruits and vegetables.
St.Britto’s Academy Scouts and Guides, Matric students and college students partook in the awareness rally and planted 300 medicinal saplings. Seeing the efforts and interest of the students, the Staff members of Airport and other guests appreciated the scouts and guides for their volunteering service as well as for protecting our nation.
