Rashtriya Ekta Divas was celebrated at St. Britto’s Academy with great enthusiasm. A run for unity, was organized in association with India Tourism, Chennai and SEEK Foundation – an NGO.

Mr. Ramakrishnan Assistant Director- South India and Ms. Padmavathy ,Assistant Director and other officials from India Tourism encouraged the students to run together to uphold unity .

The oath was administered and around 300 students from St. Britto’s studying in classes IX – XII, participated in the runathon, spanning 2 kms from Kakkan Bridge to St. Britto’s College campus.

On arrival at the campus, the significance of the day was briefed by Ms. Pavithra, student of the school. She explained the Iron Man- SARDAR VALLABHAI PATEL’s contribution to the unification of INDIA.

At School campus, Mrs. Joan Rajesh, Vice Principal addressed the Primary and the middle school assembly and explained  the significance of the day and oriented the students to standby unity among diversity and administered the oath.
