Believe You Can’16-ISA

As a part of our International School Award (ISA) project, SBA conducted Inter-School Dance-Drama competition on the theme ‘Global Issues’ as the second part of the second edition of  BYC- Believe You Can , The Royal Grid Lock . The British council international school award [ISA] is a bench marking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for – nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning ISA was introduced in India in the year 2003 and nearly 1300 schools across the country have joined this existing journey since then.

Ramachandra Public School were adjudged the winners, while Mount Carmel School was declared Runners-Up by the judges Mr. Selvakumar of Darshana Dance Academy and Ms. Meenakumari of Kalalaya Art Academy. The jury commended the students of classes V and VI SBA who performed a Classical Dance depicting the Navarasas – the 9 facial expressions. The Dance Show on different styles of various countries also won great acclamation. On the occasion, a Power-Point Presentation on “safe Dance practices” was done by students of class V. Spontaneity and accuracy marked the anchoring, led by Shaun Orlando of Class VII with Christina Shiny of Class VI.
