Agriculture is the art and science of cultivating the soil , growing crops. As part of experiential knowledge program, around 200 Students of Class IV & V visited FARM GURU , at Athur Village, which works towards bringing agriculture back to its glorious form, by educating the children on the process- from the seed in to the soil , to the seed in their plates at dinner.
Various activities in the actual process of agriculture- land preparation, ploughing, seed sowing , irrigation etc… and different types of agricultural practices(mulching) and so on were explained well and the students had hands-on experience in all of them. Mr .SESHA SAI – founder of Farm Guru conducted orientation session to the students on the importance of food. All the students were inspired by the activities of farmers and pledged not to waste food. They also understood the importance of maintaining organic way of cultivating the farmland for the benefit of the soil and its citizens.
