January 10, 2022

“You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them”

The family is one of nature’s masterpieces.

Global Family Day, also known as World Peace Day, to concretize the idea of global unity and harmony in the minds of people. It is a day that marks the beginning of a new year, with hopes to have more concord in our daily lives to witness, both micro and macro, positive changes in the world.

The vibrant learners of class II-A conducted the assembly on the theme ‘Global Family Day’ to realize and perceive the value of family in their life. The assembly was started by praising the Lord Almighty by Noah. The word of God was by Iniya and Darshan, followed by prayer and Lord’s Prayer by Adheesh and Janeesa. The master of ceremony by Joel. Purnika shared the Significance of the day. Through conversation Piranavi and Jeeenu shared their views about joint and nuclear family. Every student of the class shared their thoughts about good values. The special assembly ended with a vote of thanks by Vinayak thanking each and everyone who took part in the assembly.

It enabled the students to recognize that the family provides a sense of belonging and a unique identity to them. It also created a special emotional feeling in the students about their family. Children were given an opportunity to express their feelings about their family.  Family tree with their photographs and names pasted on it was displayed as a video to instill the message that family is like branches on a tree, that grows in different directions, yet the root remains the same. The students back drop was decorated with pictures and quotes depicting the importance of this day and dressed up in their traditional wear or with the colour dress code. It was a day full of fun and excitement for the students and would be a memorable day in their life. In today’s fast-growing world, such activities revive and rekindle the importance of love and affection among the members of a family.
