22NE PREFECTS COUNCIL AND 12TH KIDS CABINET
“SOAR HIGH TO LEAD”
The Investiture Ceremony, the formal inauguration of the students’ council of St. Britto’s Academy was conducted on 4th July 2019 at SMR Hall for the Kids Cabinet and the Prefects Council with great pomp. The Captains marched with dignity by synchronizing themselves to the bold music played by the school band. The event comprised of songs to evoke the blessings of the Almighty with the theme ‘SOAR HIGH TO LEAD’, followed by a Panel Discussion, highlighting the essence of ‘DISCOVERING SELF’ and the blessing of the badges and sashes by the Principal.
Dr. Vimala Britto, Secretary and Correspondent of St. Britto’s Academy administered the oath and entrusted the members of the student council with their respective portfolios, by presenting the flags and conferring the badges. During her address, she emphasized the power of silence that paves way for listening, processing and delivery .The concept of keeping ourselves fit physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, intellectually was brought about through the story of the wood cutter, where children were called to narrate stories on spot before the audience. The students were given cash award as a motivation for being spontaneous, internalizing the essence of the panel discussion that reiterated the concept of self- awareness to keep self and others happy.
The School Toppers and Subject Toppers of Grade X and XII were felicitated by the Correspondent as a token of appreciation for their performance in the Board Examination for the academic year 2018-2019. Best students and 100% percent attendance awardees were also honored during the ceremony. Best Class Award, Best Teacher Awards for Primary and High School for the past year were awarded to Mrs. Sybil, Mrs. Shirley, Mrs. Preethi and Mr. Rajaraman.
The Head boy, in his note of thanks announced the Philanthropic project for the month and requested for generous contribution from the students and the parents. The ceremony ended with the vote of thanks by the Head Girl followed by the school song.

Master VENKATRAMAN of V B , who donated the cash award he received during the ceremony to the Philanthropic Project initiated by the Students’ Council.
