Students and Staff of St. Britto’s Academy rejoiced Diwali themed on ‘Light up the world’ on 25th October 2019 to generate awareness amongst the children concerning the significance of Diwali, incorporating the symbol of hope and positivity in addition to devise a safe and happy Diwali.
Ms. Juliana Chin, Deputy Director of Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in Chennai, Mr. Iwasaki San and his family from Japan and Dr. Vimala Rani Britto, Correspondent of St. Britto’s Group of Institutions graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.
The quintessence of the theme ‘Light up the world’ was effectively staged retaining the prominence of the light festivals admired universally.
Students geared up for this festive season and decorated the whole school with handmade diyas and lanterns. They also packed handmade greeting cards, bright multi-colored diyas, friendship bands & flamboyant keychains to their partner schools in Taiwan and Argentina to reveal their love, joy and happiness.
Students performed numerous programs which comprised an exclusive track on pleasure & excitement of rejoicing Diwali, Diya dance, Tamil skit portraying the significance of Diwali throughout diverse regions of India.
Learners correspondingly fetched the connotation of Light Festival in Taiwan, Thailand, Japan and India in the style of a tableau.
