The Kindergarten Wing of St. Britto’s Academy observed Safety Day recently in their campus with the theme as Black and White signifying the Zebra Crossing to inculcate the habit of being safe. Some children came dressed up in Black, while the others in White. The day’s programme started with the prayer song followed by Bible reading and prayer. Children of LKG A gave a lively performance. They spoke on safety at home, school and road. Two groups of children entertained the gathering with action songs about the colours – black and then, white. The tiny tots gave new acronyms for the alphabets A-Z on the theme safety.
Finally, they entertained the parents with a wonderful dance. The day’s programme ended with the National Anthem. The Day was observed with a mission to reduce preventable child injury by empowering children, families and communities with practical safety information that they can use in their everyday lives to reduce the most common causes of preventable child accidents.
