Cubs and Bulbuls (for classes III-V) / Scouting and Guiding (for classes VI-VIII) activities help to foster in our students important values like honesty, friendship, dignity, patience, integrity, discipline, kindness etc. Also important life skills like leadership, creativity and team sprit are honed in the105 Cubs and Bulbuls / 63 Scouts and Guides. Regular classes for scouting and guiding are held every week on Fridays and Saturdays. The basics of Scouts and Guides/ Cubs and Bulbuls – the physical fitness skills, handicrafts, first-aid, nature study, excursions, camps etc. are imparted to students from time to time.
The Investiture Ceremony which is one of the most momentous occasions for the Scouts and Guides/ Cubs and Bulbuls was organized on 22nd of September 2016 in SBA to contribute to the development of young Cubs and Bulbuls in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, national and international communities. The program started with a prayer song and flag song followed by greeting the audience. Then the badges and scarves were blessed and given to the recruits. Later Scouts and Guides/ Cubs and Bulbuls cleaned the school campus .The Vice Principal addressed the recruits and all the Scouts and Guides/ Cubs and Bulbuls with an inspiring message. Inducting the members helps them to build character, to be independent and to live life in a disciplined manner. The ceremony created in the recruits an attitude of staying together, sharing and caring, apart from inculcating the art of living and adapting to the values of life. The induction paved the way for learning to be clean, courteous and inculcated leadership qualities amongst students.
