ASSET 2019-20 was conducted on 09th & 10th August for Girls and on 16th & 22nd August 2019, for Boys under two categories Group A (IX-XII) and Group B(VI-VIII).
In the Girls events around 1000 students from 53 schools participated in the KHO-KHO, KABADI, FUTSAL, THROW BALL, TENNIKOIT and VOLLEY BALL. And in the Boys tournaments, around 1700 students from 57 schools participated in the KHO-KHO, BASKET BALL, FUTSAL, KABBADI and VOLLEY BALL which was held at St. Britto’s Campuses at Velachery and Admbakkam.
Students of Government, Government Aided and Private schools belonging to State, CBSE,ICSE Boards placed in Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur and Chennai District participated in various sports.
The Sport Event conducted by the Physical Education Department, Student Leaders and Volunteers of St Britto’s was well organized and the results were validated in an unbiased manner. All involved themselves to organize, coordinate and execute the Tournament in accordance to set standards and rules of each game.
It was thrilling to watch the students compete with enthusiasm, excellent team spirit with focus towards their goal of winning. The boost of confidence gained in sports will definitely help improve Social skills and most importantly their concentration, which is the crux for Intellectual excellence.
