St. Britto’s Academy celebrated the mass of St. John De Britto, the Patron saint of the school on 31st January 2017 and special prayers were offered for Class X and XII students who are preparing for their board exams.
The Chairman and Correspondent attended the mass and addressed the students. The chairman sir congratulated the correspondent and her team on signing on MOU with the Taiwanese Government He quoted
the example of a strong and a weak person committing mistakes, but the strong admitting and rectifying it and the weak refusing to accept the mistakes and finding excuses to justify it. He gave a Clarion call for the student community to be strong in their character, analyze themselves, develop concentration and intensify their efforts, which ultimately will lead to success. He also added “When you focus on problems, you will have yet an other problem, when you focus on possibilities, you will find opportunities to explore”. He reiterated the point that we should never fail to acknowledged the efforts of people who have touched our life and made it worth- living, by quoting the example of the 18th Grand Slam winner Roger Federer, who always acknowledged the efforts of his coach Peter Carter by the way of reserving VIP seat to his parents to witness all his matches and takes part in all his award ceremonies. “Federer is a good human being, for the reason being that Federer has not forgotten what happened in his life”- was a statement made by chairman sir for the children to ponder. He concluded his address by briefing the students about the different techniques to be employed in their preparation for the board exams. The Correspondent addressed the students and motivated them to love and respect one another, be grateful to their parents and teachers and to apply their knowledge to real life situations. She distributed pens to the students appearing for the board examination and wished them. Another significant highlight of the day’s event was the inauguration of an additional floor with conference hall, spacious, ventilated, air –conditioned class rooms.
