Nearly 220 children of classes II and III went to Dakshina chitra on Saturday the 17th of February 2018 accompanied by 9 teachers and 3 P.T masters. Dakshina chitra is a living- history museum in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, dedicated to south Indian heritage and culture. It has a collection of 18 authentic historical houses with contextual exhibitions in each houses. Children saw different types of south Indian houses. A variety of antique household items which are not used nowadays were kept as exhibits to be viewed.
They enjoyed the puppet and the magic show . They had a wonderful time travelling in the bus, dancing and singing with their friends. All the students enjoyed the lunch provided. They returned back to school around 4.30 pm. On the way they had refreshment. Children had lot of fun and entertainment throughout the day.
